Smile Books

These scrap books and blurbs come cheap. Add a personal touch to your gift by sticking pictures of you and your boyfriends on all the pages. Write a special message related to the picture on each page and watch his smile as he browses through the pages.

Posters

Now if your boyfriends is someone who forgets stuff especially part of his daily chores? Design a poster with things to do list and stick it on his wall! Don’t forget that packet of chocolates to mitigate the effect!

Jokes apart you can get him posters of his favorite movie or music icon or simple paint a chart and paste your pics on it. Whatever you do, make it special and original!

Popular Valentine day lyrics

Speaking of popular Valentine’s day lyrics, there are so many songs that have become popular over the years. Stevie Wonder’s greatest hit, “I just called to say I love you,” has been a hot favorite ever since it was featured in the motion picture, “The Woman in Red,” in the year 1984.

The Lyrics…

No new years day to celebrate
No chocolate covered candy hearts to give away
No first of spring, no song to sing
In fact here's just another ordinary day

No April rain, no flowers bloom
No wedding Saturday within the month of June
But what it is, is something true
Made up of these three words that I must say to you

I just called to say I love you
I just called to say how much I care
I just called to say I love you
And I mean it from the bottom of my heart

No summer's high, no warm July
No harvest moon to light one tender August night
No autumn breeze, no falling leaves
Not even time for birds to fly to southern skies

No Libra sun, no Halloween
No giving thanks to all the Christmas joy you bring
But what it is though old so new
To fill your heart like no three words could ever do

I just called to say I love you
I just called to say how much I care, I do
I just called to say I love you
And I mean it from the bottom of my heart

I just called to say I love you
I just called to say how much I care
I just called to say I love you
And I mean it from the bottom of my heart
Of my heart, baby of my heart

Valentine’s Day Cards

Little did Saint Valentine know that his campaign to spread the message of love and happiness would turn into an annual feast celebrated by people across the world. The concept of greeting ones spouse or lover on valentine has been prevalent since the medieval times. In those days it was fashionable to recite or sing verses written specially for a loved one. Paper greeting cards originated in the 1500’s. But even before that the first recorded Valentine verses were written by the Duke of Orleans, when in prison. The Duke has written several versus and poems for his wife and some of these written parchments are still on display at the British Museum in England.

Valentine’s Day Cards

The 1700’s was significant. It was during this time that the tradition of presenting flowers to your beloved originated. Valentine Day cards became popular in America as far back as the 1700’s. At this time it was a common practice to import ‘writers’ or ‘books’ with romantic versus, which were then printed on cards and paper.

In those days most valentine’s day cards were handmade with depictions of the sacred heart, an angel and cupid and lace trimmings. Cards as we know and understand today became popular much later. Commercialization of the festival has changed a lot. Today cards come in every conceivable variety!

Pendant or coin is hidden in the pan dulce, the person who gets the pendant is considered to be the luckiest person in the New Year. New Year’s Greetings for friends are also exchanged.

Burning the negative vibes

Traditional games also form a part of the New Year day party celebrations in the country. In one such game people are asked to write good and bad events of the current in their life. The task is completed before the middle of the night. As the clock strikes 12 in the night people are asked to through the paper in fire. Beautiful Christmas Cakes

This yuletide was a virtual treat. What with beautiful Christmas cakes all over the place! The greatest hits were perhaps the ones advertised by Marks & Spencers in U.K. among others. The classic fruit cake done in white icing topped with pure white sugar Christmas tree toppers was the ultimate.

Another very popular cake decoration this season has been to jazz up the cake such that it resembles a wreath. Dark chocolate or pure white sugar icing makes a very good base; and you can use dark green icing to creatively make a wreath topper for your cake. Add a red ribbon and the cake is ready.

Christmas cakes with edible silver stars, bells and baubles are common. Cakes with Santa Claus toppers are very popular. Edible snowmen and reindeer are popular winter cake toppers.

You can even organize fruit cup cakes with fun cake toppers! The X Mas theme serves well and works well for New Year parties as well.So what are you waiting for, Bake a fruit cake and decorate it creatively for your New Year Eve bash.
